Mid-term recovery!

I spent this weekend in mid-term recovery... okay, so first I had to finish my midterm. But its done! Hooray!

It does appear that the next couple weeks will be jam packed however. So, posting may be a little sketchy. I am hoping to get in a fall walk with all the beautiful leaves and to take the camera along. So, hopefully there will be more fun things to post.

In the meantime, hope all is well!

It was a sad, sad day in Husky Stadium when....

Yes... its true. The Huskies lost to U of O, but it was fun to go to the game!

No one froze or was soaked in the taking of this photo. It was a close call though. Several clouds threatened late in the game making it far too close to call!

It was such a beautiful day that the Huskies decided to take the 4th quarter off and go home. Unfortunately, the Ducks and the officials stayed... making it a sad, sad day in Husky land.

Mid-terms, etc...

Much to my dismay I realized I have just over a week until mid-terms at school. I am seriously too old for tests and test anxiety. They really should think about these things when designing classes for "older students."

It seems like there are a number of things that are hanging in the air - from school to changes at work. I'm not a big wait and see person which makes that difficult. But as one of my co-workers is fond of saying 'it is what it is."

In honor of this new posting adventure...

I finally have done it - I bought a camera! Now if I can just figure out how to use it...

Self Portrait of a Camera

Now if I can just put it right...... here?

Turning over a new what?

I'm not sure leaves and blogs should ever be compared but suffice it to say, I am hoping to post and communicate using this ever friendly medium.

Current life adventures: going back to school in the evening at UW, teaching home school high school Christian debate (yes, there are a number of oxymora in this phrase
but it is not a mythical pursuit - see Romans 12), working at Smith Barney, um... and enjoying the beauty of the pacific northwest - both friends and outdoors!

Thank you to Caleb and Abby for the pictures from our hiking adventures!

Um.. Railroad Tunnel? Just ignore the debris blocking the trail and path...

Trail? What Trail?
