Coming Home-ish...

I have been learning a lot about what it means to come home these last couple weeks. I've been in Eugene for a little over two and a half weeks and I am realizing just how different it is to see this home-world through my grown-up-ish eyes. Some things (however) don't change too much. Below are a bit of my perspective in pictorial form:

This is my favorite picture (taken this weekend)

This is the front door I've looked out all my life.
Can I make this my trade mark? Girly and thorny in one glance. I used this picture instead of the clearer one as the transition is leaving all these details a little fuzzy .
Figuring out where the steps end and where the path begins is half the battle... it doesn't help that the path has had pieces added to it!

Progress?

The last two weeks have been a bit of preparation to leave. Knowing that if I didn't start early I would either end up sick or super-mega-beyond-all-reason-crying-and-sleeping-a-lot-stressed, we began the packing adventures.

I am told progress has been made but I think I won't feel well until its all settled where ever I land which as yet is TBD. Here are some pictures of the progress...

The stack of boxes will soon fade into the closet so that the preparations can continue. Fortunately the building management offered me an extra little storage space so I wouldn't have to be tripping over too many boxes.

Ahhh the blinding light of Rubbermaid...

So many boxes deserve a close-up.

If this doesn't say it all... I don't know what will.
